Future Skills: Digital for Life – An Erasmus+ Project for Digital Literacy
In today’s digital era, technological skills are no longer a luxury but a necessity. The „Future Skills: Digital for Life” project addresses this pressing need by bringing together 28 young people from four European countries for a transformative learning experience.
About the Project
Organized by Asociația Culturală Atelierul European de Artă from Romania, in partnership with Fundația 108 from Poland, Global Circle from Italy, and La Libélula from Spain, this youth exchange will take place October 10-16, 2025 in Bucharest.
The project targets young people aged 18-25 who want to improve their digital skills and discover how technology can be used productively for personal and professional development.
Our Objectives
Through this project, we aim to:
- Enhance digital safety of participants and their critical thinking capacity online
- Develop practical skills in using digital tools such as Notion, Excel, Canva, Miro, and PowerPoint
- Raise awareness among youth about how technology can be utilized for career and personal life development
What Will Participants Do?
The program includes a variety of interactive activities:
- Workshops on cybersecurity and data protection
- Hands-on sessions learning digital tools
- Visits to computer repair shops to understand hardware
- A day dedicated to digital balance and online time management
- Organizing Cyber Chats for the local community
- Local hackathons to find digital solutions to social problems
Project Impact
We don’t stop at the 28 direct participants. Through planned dissemination activities, the project will reach:
- Over 320 people locally in the four partner communities
- Minimum 200 young people at European level through online activities
- 40+ organizations from partner networks that will implement the learned methods
Participants will become digital literacy ambassadors in their communities, organizing local events and sharing acquired knowledge with other youth.
Why Is This Important?
European statistics show that Romania, Poland, Italy, and Spain are below the EU average regarding young people’s digital skills. Only under 30% of youth from these countries verify information found online, and many don’t efficiently use available digital tools.
„Future Skills: Digital for Life” is not just an education project – it’s an investment in Europe’s digital future, providing young people with the necessary tools to successfully navigate tomorrow’s world.
Project funded through the European Union’s Erasmus+ programme.
