Future Skills: Digital for Life – Day 6

When 4 Communities Connect: The Birth of Digital Change

October 15, 2025 – THE BIG DAY: When participants become teachers and communities awaken digitally

Wednesday morning at CCSS Tei had an energy we hadn’t felt before. It wasn’t ordinary nervousness – it was the kind of electric tension that appears before something big, something transformative. Today, the 28 participants were no longer students. They were teachers, facilitators, organizers, agents of change. Today, 4 communities from Romania, Poland, Italy and Spain will connect online to learn about digital skills from the young people who lived this transformation in the last 6 days.

Photo album – Day 6

„Today we’re making history,” said Nicoleta as teams checked their laptops, connections, and presentations for the tenth time. „Today you’ll see the power of what you’ve learned. Today the real impact begins.”

Final preparations: When nerves become focus

Each national team established their own „Command Center”:

„Test, test, 1-2-3,” could be heard from all corners. Sound checks. Camera adjustments. Opening Canva presentations. Preparing participation links.

„Did you post the link?” – repeated questions. „Did you check your microphone?” – technical paranoia. „What if nobody comes?” – universal fear.

SHOWTIME: 4 events, 4 countries, one mission

At the set time, the 4 Cyber Chats began simultaneously. On screens, curious faces started to appear. Real people. Real communities. Ready to learn.

„Digital Safety – From Fake News to Scams”

„Tax Authority: You have arrears. Click here or we’ll block your account” „Congratulations! You’ve won an iPhone! Complete the details…” „YOUR Bank: Suspicious activity. Confirm your password…” „Your grandson has problems. Send money urgently…” „Courier: Your package is waiting. Pay the delivery fee…”

„Raise your hand if you received at least one of these messages?” „Scammers are professionals. But today we give you the weapons to protect yourself.”

Interactive Workshop – „Real or Fake News?”

8 news stories were projected. Participants had to vote: REAL or FAKE?

Shocking results:

Fake story about „COVID vaccine contains chips” – 40% believed it was real! Real story about „Romania, top 5 EU in internet speed” – 30% thought it was fake!

They learned practical techniques: ✓ Check the source – official site or suspicious blog? ✓ Look for the date – old article presented as new? ✓ Cross-check with 3 independent sources ✓ Watch out for clickbait and emotional headlines ✓ Use Google Reverse Image Search ✓ Verify on Factual.ro, StopFals.md

Conclusion: Resource list sent to everyone

  • Police number for reporting scams
  • Fake news verification sites
  • PDF guide: „10 Golden Rules for Online Safety”

„Mental Health in the Digital Age”

„In Poland, young people spend an average of 7 hours a day on screens. Depression among adolescents has increased by 40% in the last 5 years. It’s no coincidence.”

The FOMO Phenomenon (Fear Of Missing Out)

„Scrolling on Instagram. Everyone’s at parties, on vacation, with friends. You’re at home. What do you feel?” „Those 10 seconds of ‘perfect life’ are from 24 boring, ordinary hours. NOBODY posts the boring moments. Social media is a HIGHLIGHT REEL, not reality.”

Practical Workshop: „Digital Wellbeing Toolkit”

They demonstrated live:

  • Installing Forest app – „Let’s plant a virtual tree together NOW”
  • Screen Time settings – „Let’s set limits together”
  • One Sec app – „Breathe 10 seconds before TikTok”
  • Grayscale mode – „Turn your phone black and white. Makes it boring. Perfect!”

„AI, Creativity and the Future of Work”

„Raise your hand if you’re afraid AI will take your job.” „Now raise your hand if you already use AI in your daily work.” „Today I’ll show you how AI becomes your most powerful ALLY, not your enemy.”

Challenge: Create a poster for a music event in 10 minutes.

Step 1: ChatGPT for copy „Write me 5 catchy titles for an indie jazz festival in Lecco, Italy. Tone: cool, young, artistic.”

3 seconds later: 5 great options.

Step 2: Midjourney for background image (pre-prepared demo) Shows how a well-written prompt generates amazing art.

Step 3: Canva for final design Combines everything into a professional poster.

Result: In 8 minutes, a poster that would have cost €200 from a designer.

The Debate: „AI threatens vs. enhances creativity”

„AI threatens” camp: „Artists will lose their jobs” „Art made by AI isn’t real art” „Devalues creative work”

„AI enhances” camp: „AI democratizes access to creative tools” „Eliminates boring tasks, leaving time for creativity” „Artists who use AI will dominate the market”

The Future of Work – What skills matter?

Skills that DISAPPEAR:

  • Repetitive work
  • Manual data entry
  • Basic customer service (chatbots take over)
  • Simple translations

Skills that DOMINATE:

  • Critical thinking
  • Creativity
  • Emotional intelligence
  • Complex problem-solving
  • Adaptability
  • AI literacy

Conclusion: List of free AI tools for creatives

  • ChatGPT for brainstorming, copy, research
  • Midjourney/DALL-E for visual art
  • Runway for AI video editing
  • Descript for audio/video editing
  • Copy.ai for marketing
  • Notion AI for organization

„Digital Inclusion – Technology for EVERYONE”

„Free WiFi in the square. Digital learning programs for seniors. Young people working remotely from the village for companies in Barcelona. Digital communities that strengthen, not weaken, human connections. How did we get here? With education. With inclusion. With the belief that technology is for EVERYONE, not just young people in cities.”

Digital Divide – The harsh reality

In Spain:

  • 95% of urban Madrid has fast internet
  • 60% of rural Aragón has limited access
  • 40% of Spanish seniors have never used the internet
  • 70% of tech jobs are concentrated in 3 large cities

„Result? Inequality. Lost opportunities. Isolated communities.”

Workshop: „Intergenerational learning”

A young person and a senior, together on Zoom, in a breakout room.

Task for the young person: Teach the senior to make a video call on WhatsApp. Task for the senior: Teach the young person about digital caution and information verification.

Conclusion: Digital Inclusion Manifesto

  • Offer free digital courses for seniors
  • Promote remote work in rural areas
  • Create co-working spaces in villages
  • Improve internet infrastructure
  • Learn from each other, regardless of age
  • Use technology to strengthen, not weaken, communities

Day 6 was about REAL IMPACT.

From ideas to action. From learning to teaching. From participants to change-makers.

People from 4 countries learned about digital skills today. But the 28 participants learned something even more important: that they have the power to change the world. One Cyber Chat at a time.

Tomorrow: Last day. Final reflections, Youthpass certificates, future plans and emotional goodbyes. But their journey as change-makers has just begun.
