From Theory to Action in Bucharest
November 12, 2025 – The third day of the Erasmus+ mobility „From Training to Leadership” marked a change of pace from the more theoretical first two days. Participants left the training room to experience leadership and teamwork in real contexts, while also exploring the host city.
The morning began with an activity in the park. The trainers facilitated exercises focused on group dynamics and effective teamwork. This session allowed participants to apply the theoretical concepts discussed in previous days in a natural, open environment, away from the formality of the training room.
Visit to the Parliament Palace
The program continued with an organized visit to the Parliament Palace. The 26 youth workers from Romania, Lithuania, North Macedonia, Turkey, and Spain had the opportunity to discover one of the most important buildings in Bucharest and Europe. This component of cultural discovery is an integral part of the Erasmus+ mobility experience, offering participants the opportunity to better understand the social and historical context of the host country.
Felix, the project coordinator, emphasized the importance of these moments of cultural exploration in consolidating group cohesion and creating a complete international mobility experience.
Treasure Hunt through Bucharest
The afternoon session was dedicated to a treasure hunt in the city. This activity combined experiential learning with urban exploration, challenging participant teams to collaborate, communicate effectively, and solve challenges in a real environment. The treasure hunt provided a practical context for applying leadership competencies, group decision-making, and time management – all essential skills in youth work.
Through this non-formal method, participants had the opportunity to test their coordination and collaboration abilities in a dynamic and unpredictable setting, very different from the structured exercises in the training room.
Intercultural Evening
The day’s program concluded with an intercultural evening. Each participating country had the opportunity to present its culture, traditions, gastronomy, and local specifics. This moment of celebrating European diversity is a classic component of Erasmus+ international mobilities, facilitating intercultural understanding and consolidating relationships among participants.
The third day of the „From Training to Leadership” mobility demonstrated that learning doesn’t only happen in the classroom. By combining outdoor group activities, urban exploration, and celebration of cultural diversity, participants experienced leadership and teamwork in varied and authentic contexts. The program continues tomorrow with sessions dedicated to communication and building trust in youth teams.
The „From Training to Leadership” project is funded by the European Union’s Erasmus+ program and takes place between November 10-16, 2025, in Bucharest.
