Getting to Know Each Other, Teambuilding, and a First Look in the Mirror

Saturday, 15 March marked the first full day of activities at the Finding My Future mobility in Bucharest. Thirty participants from Romania and Poland met face to face for the first time — after months of online preparation — and got straight to work.

The morning opened with icebreakers and name games, essential for a group about to collaborate intensively for an entire week. The good energy from those first hours set the stage for a teambuilding session and an introduction to the mobility’s content: what lies ahead, why it matters, and where it’s all heading.

The afternoon brought a shift in tone — more personal, more reflective. The session on programme objectives, fears, and expectations gave participants the space to be honest with themselves and with the group. What concerns a youth worker when it comes to guiding young people through career decisions? What does each person hope to bring back home?

The final session of the day — Self-Screen: My Competences — was the first self-assessment exercise: a personal snapshot of each participant’s skills and strengths, serving as a starting point for everything that follows.

In the evening, the group gathered around the theme of the power of motivation — a conversation that naturally closed the first day and set the tone for what comes next.

Finding My Future is funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union, under action KA210-YOU — Small-scale partnerships in youth.
